Morning – Pick-up and Start of Journey

Go Primate Safaris will pick you up from your hotel or Entebbe Airport. After a short briefing, you begin your drive toward western Uganda, heading to Kibale National Park, famous for chimp tracking.

Mid-Morning – Scenic Drive Through Tea Plantations

You pass through beautiful landscapes filled with tea estates, forests, and local villages. Your guide will explain the culture and daily life of the people living in these areas.

Afternoon – Lunch in Fort Portal Town

You stop for lunch in Fort Portal, one of Uganda’s cleanest and most organized towns, surrounded by hills and crater lakes.

Evening – Arrive at Your Lodge

After lunch, you continue to your lodge near Kibale Forest. You check in, relax, listen to birds singing around the lodge, and enjoy dinner.

Morning – Chimpanzee Briefing

You leave the lodge early and head to Kanyanchu Visitor Centre. Rangers give you a briefing on chimp behavior, safety rules, and what to expect in the forest.

Chimpanzee Tracking Experience

With your ranger, you walk into the forest to look for the chimpanzees. Chimps are very active and fast, so the walk can be exciting as they move from tree to tree.
Once you find them, you spend 1 full hour observing how they:

• feed on fruits,
• groom each other,
• play,
• communicate using loud calls and drumming sounds.

You may also see other primates such as:

• red-tailed monkeys
• black-and-white colobus monkeys
• grey-cheeked mangabeys

Afternoon – Bigodi Wetland Walk

After lunch, you take a guided community walk in Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary, known for:

• over 200 bird species
• butterflies
• monkeys
• beautiful vegetation

The walk also supports local people who protect the wetland.

Evening – Return to Lodge

You return to the lodge for relaxation, dinner, and overnight stay.

Morning – Depart Kibale

After breakfast, you start your journey back to Kampala or Entebbe. The drive is relaxed and you again enjoy views of tea plantations and small towns.

Afternoon – Lunch Along the Way

You stop for lunch in Fort Portal or Mubende.

Evening – Drop-off

You arrive in Kampala or Entebbe in the late afternoon. Your guide drops you at your hotel or at the airport.
This marks the end of your 3 Days Chimpanzee Experience with Go Primate Safaris.
